These regulations changes came into effect as of December 2019 to improve swimming pool safety and restrict access to the pool area by young children.

  • Register Pool

    Register your pool or spa with local council. Your local council will then send a confirmation letter or registration which specifies when your pool or spa was constructed and the application barrier standard.

  • Request an Inspection

    Request an inspection booking with Pool Safe Mildura, this can be done via email, phone or text. Please ensure a copy of the council confirmation of registration is provided prior to the inspection.

  • Inspection

    Our friendly staff will carry out the thorough inspection of your pool or spa barrier in accordance with the relevant Australian Standard and issue a compliance certificate. If non compliant we will debrief the owner and provide a written report detailing rectification works. A reinspection is then carried out within 60 days and compliance certificate issued.

  • Compliance

    The certificate of compliance must be lodged with your local council for their records. This can be done online or in person at the council office.

For pools and spas installed before 8th April 1991.

For pools and spas installed between 8th April 1991 and 30th April 2010.
